My First Blog Post

Hello

I’ve been working on this new version of the site for a few months now. Before, I coded it with basic HTML/CSS (which I first learned on the W3Schools website when I was in middle school… and I’ve barely improved since then), but now I’m using Hugo. I wanted as much control over my site as I could get while not sacrificing functionality (since I don’t know how to code anything from scratch in, say, Javascript). This is why I chose not to use services like Wordpress or Blogspot. I also really wanted to have an RSS feed. It was kind of a pain to learn and get working, owing to my incompetence with this sort of thing.

I hope to be posting more blogs on a semi-regular basis.

While I wrote this, I made pasta. Thin spaghetti (not thin enough! I’m getting angel hair next time) with marinara sauce.
